Pageant of Bands Itinerary for Royal Guard Members

12:30PM Arrive at MHS in show shirt. Get into uniform pants and shoes, no jacket.

1:00PM Winds: Battery out at football practice field for stretching and marching basics. Pit: In band room for warm-up.

1:45PM Back to band room. Get into full uniform, warm-up, and get snack.

2:15PM Walk to warm-up area (west parking lot). Pit equipment goes to Wilson Stadium.

2:24PM Warm-Up

2:39PM Transit to Wilson.

2:58PM Perform

3:15PM Pictures, then head to South part of stadium for retreat.

4:22PM Awards

5:00PM March to band room.

 

ALL STUDENTS are required to stay through retreat and through post-competition comments by Mr. Dubbs in the band room to receive full credit for the performance.

ALL STUDENTS should eat a good breakfast and lunch and drink plenty of water throughout the morning. Students should make sure that instruments are in perfect operating condition. Reed players should make sure that they do not use a new reed that day. Brass players should make sure that they do not overplay on Friday.

SECTION LEADERS: All section leaders must report to Wilson Stadium at 5:30AM the morning of Pageant of Bands to help set up. They may then go home and will not have to report until 12:30PM. Breakfast will be provided.

ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS: Please remember that you represent Manzano at all times. Everyone should display a positive attitude, applaud other bands for their efforts, and stay focused on your individual performance. We must make sure that we demonstrate good sportsmanship as well. Any negative comments can destroy our image and everything we have worked for this entire season. Please make sure you eat a good breakfast/lunch before you arrive.

Make sure to wear purple, try to sit together in the stands, and arrive plenty early to make sure you have a place to sit. The bleachers will be packed!
