Dear Parents and Supporters:
Welcome to another season of Manzano Monarch Basketball. I would like to begin by thanking you for your support of our program. I am excited to take over the head coaching responsibilities from Greg Brown. Being part of his staff for the past five years gave me valuable insight that has prepared me to continue moving this program forward.
Our younger levels hold a lot of promise starting with a junior varsity team that features several juniors, some of whom return from last years junior varsity team and a talented sophomore group that was part of a freshman team that only lost one game last year. The freshman team has a lot of potential, and we are anxious to help them improve and develop on and off the court.
Our varsity team features many first year varsity players after nine seniors graduated from last year’s state runner up team. I expect our players and our coaching staff to continue the Monarch tradition of hard work and selfless teamwork that this program has grown to pride itself on. We know that putting our faith in these core values will lead to a season that we can be proud of. We look forward to the 2007-08 basketball season, and we appreciate your support of our program.
