Standards-based assessment

Northwest Regional Education Laboratory [ http://www.nwrel.org/assessment/ ]
has many online resources related to standards-based assessment. Toolkit98 is an entire site with examples designed to assist classroom teachers to become better assessors of student learning, There is a simple bibliography of assessment alternatives. A detailed copy of the booklet costs $8.95. There are also bibliographies of content-specific assessments: reading, math, social studies, oral communication, science, as well as references on grading policy, portfolios, and factors that affect achievement (the bibliographies do not have links to the documents and are supplied as Acrobat documents).

Assessment Strategies and Definitions [ http://www.rmcdenver.com/useguide/assessme/definiti.htm ]
