and resources around the globe. There are many good reasons to build class web
pages, including, introducing visitors to activities, linking to quality online
resources, publishing student work, and sharing local curriculum and information.
Thousands of teachers around the world have developed websites. This easy-to-use
website explores some of these websites and examines how these educators are using
their pages to support teaching and learning. The website also links to numerous
free web hosting services for teachers.
AOL@School
is an Internet database and search engine that has portals designed for elementary,
middle and high school levels. You can make a class page with a calendar, email,

Highwired.com is a collection of online publishing tools specifically
geared for high schools. You can publish a newspaper, build a reference site or
a class page. There are simple templates for the technologically challenged among
you. free
Quia offers an interesting
possibility: make a web page and interactive on-line quizzes that require no knowledge
of java or any programming language. Or you can use quizzes that other teachers
(better paid, less stressed) have made. free
