MHS Counseling Services
Mission Statement
The Manzano High School Counseling Department's mission is to help all students to reach their utmost potential in academics, personal/social, and career development through a comprehensive school counseling program.
Student schedule change requests will ONLY be accepted through google form submissions. Any requests via email will receive an automated response to complete the google form. Walk-ins will also be directed to fill out the google form. We have found that we are able to process requests much quicker this way and it also increases students' time in the classroom.
Students must click on the request form link for their assigned counselor. Schedule changes requested for students with an IEP will be routed to the special education department for review/processing. Responses to student requests will be sent to their APS Gmail.
Due to scheduling constraints, all requests must meet the at least one
following criteria:
- Missing class for graduation requirement
- The wrong level of class
- Hole in the schedule (missing a period)
- Already taken and passed a class
- Successful course completion in summer school
- Dual Credit conflict *must email your counselor a screenshot of the course you are registered in
- IEP Reason
Note: eCademy courses are not available to replace or substitute a
course offered on campus for your current grade level (no exceptions)
