MPTSO Mission Statement
The purpose of the MPTSO is to enhance and support the educational experience at Manzano High School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the environment at Manzano High School through volunteer and financial support.

MPTSO Officer Responsibilities
President: Preside at all meetings. Coordinate the work of the officers and committees. Oversee creation of new committees as needed. Represent the MPTSO at Various events. Serve as a liaison with the school administration. Address MPTSO questions and concerns.
Vice President: Act as an aide to the President. Perform duties of the Presidents in his/her absence. Support committee chairs as needed. Coordinate nominations for MPTSO. Fill open MPTSO positions. Recruit parents for open positions. Maintain listing of board members for upcoming year.
Secretary: Record accurate minutes of all meetings and post on MPTSO webpage. Maintain permanent files of MPTSO minutes and bylaws, as well as other pertinent documentation. Handle general correspondence of the MPTSO as needed.
Treasurer: Have custody of and maintain a full account of the MPTSO funds. Keep full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures. Help Executive Board prepare a budget for the school year. Provide a written monthly financial statement at each MPTSO meeting. Prepare an annual financial report. Schedule annual audit or audit committee review of accounts at the end of each fiscal (school) year.
