AP Testing Letter to Families
Posted 10/5/21

Dear Manzano Students and Parents:

Advanced Placement (AP) exams, though not a graduation requirement, are a great way to save money on college. Taking and passing these exams can allow students to earn credit for initial core college classes--such as entry level English (e.g., English 101). However, AP exams are not free. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch do receive a discount, but there are still fees involved that all students may need to pay. Below is the fee structure for AP exams:

Exam cost: $96 per test $3 (cost for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch) Deadline: October 29, 2021 for fall and yearlong course exam registration Deadline: February 25, 2022 for AP Macroeconomics

Late registration fee: $40 (All students must pay this fee if they register after 10/29/21)

Deadline: February 25, 2022 for any AP exam order

No show/Cancel fee: $40 (All students must pay this fee if they do not take the test for which they registered) Please keep in mind, when these fees are assessed, they will be added to the student’s school account.

To register for an AP exam, please follow these steps outlined on https://aptsusa.com/manzano/ap/.

Click on the “Submit AP Exam Fees” at the bottom of the link to submit payment. If you need to apply for the federal free/reduced lunch program for waiver eligibility, please complete an application on: https://family.titank12.com/?identifier=ZNE5WR
